Very rare first edition of Allix’s alphabet book

One of a few unspecified copies. 13 colour linocuts by Susan Allix. Printed on Arches paper. 15 x 13.5 cms., bound by Allix in full blue cloth with a onlaid circle of printed tan cloth with and H and a hen print on it by the artist, spine lettered in gilt. Slight mark on upper cover, a little light rubbing to edges, tiny tear to ffep, otherwise an extremely good copy.

The alphabet book was intially printed in a very few copies in 1985, this being one of them. Later Allix turned up the linocuts again and reprinted the book in 30 copies in 2003.
