Tipped in wood engraved frontispiece ‘Jacob and the Angel), 133 wood engravings by Simon Brett printed on Zerkall smooth white paper each with a title printed in green. Printed in Gill’s Joanna type cast by Michael & Winifred Bixler. Folio, bound by Alann Simenson in original quarter green Japanese cloth with patterned paper sides designed by Brett.

A complete chronological list of all of Brett’s engravings from 1961 providing an extraordinary visual catalogue of the work of one of Britain’s greatest wood engravers.
