14 wood engravings by Averil Mackenzie-Grieve who also edited the book. No. 427 of 400 ordinary copies. Printed in Caslon Old Face on mould-made paper. 8vo., original red cloth backed green and red marbled paper covered boards. Spine very mildly faded, otherwise good.
The marbled paper was specially done for Sandford by the famous marbler Sidney Cockerell. A rare eighteenth century book, well reprinted and illustrated.
