Philips' Planisphere showing the Principal Stars Visible for Every Hour…

A rather fine leather and card planisphere with a moveable black goatskin circle tooled in gilt. Attached around a card circle printed with the constellations in the night sky and the days of the year around it. On the back is a printed explanation of how to use the planisphere with a small publisher’s advertisement at the bottom for other astronomy publications. A little rubbing but generally in good condition.
