Tall thin 8vo., original scarlet buckram with GCP in gilt on upper cover and spine lettered in gilt, all edges gilded, top edge gilt, others uncut. Very slight fading to the spine and very mild offset to the free endpapers othewise a very good, bright and fresh copy.
The male nude here seen as the frontispiece is a perhaps exaggerated self-portrait of Gill originally intended to depict Lady Chatterley's gamekeeper lover.
