Each page with borders printed in red, wood engraved title page printed in green and black with a rose in red and green and a green border. 4to., sumptuously bound by G. Hedberg in Stockholm in full vellum covered boards with gilt borders on both sides and an onlaid rose in green and red morocco, tooled in gilt, spine titled in gilt, turn-ins roll-tooled in gilt, green silk doublures, all edges gilt, a very good copy.
The Story of the Rose is an chivalric medieval French story and this specially produced version is after that by published by Gaston Paris in 1893 for Prof. Adolf Tobler’s Berlin Silver Anniversary. Dedicated to the Baroness de Rothschild.
