Morse code printed in silkscreen burnish on japanese paper. 15.5. x 12 cms, small sheets of japanese paper each with morse code printed on them, bound onto accordian folded black cloth with printed title and colophon printed onto grey papaer pasted onto the cloth, with a limp black cloth band with the word ‘echo’ in blind. As new.
Produced as part of teh AMBruno Intervals Project in 2024. The book with the repetition of the word ‘echo’ in morse code through its pages offers, as Grobet writes, “the concept of intervals as a dialogue between language, sound, communication, space, sequence resonance and transparency that weaves together a cohesive narrative experience throughout the repeated format of the book.
Ximena Perez Grobet is a Mexican artist based in Barcelona. She has developed a professional work around the book as an artistic discipline and format of expression. Her experience in editorial design and production of art books has helped her to create a personal work through artist's books that she signs with her own publishing label Nowhereman Press.
Since 1994 she has exhibited in Mexico, Europe and the United States.
