A fabulous story of a young man's pioneering voyage from Boston to California to seek fame and fortune. He ended up becoming one of the most well respected journalists and newspaper owners in the town of Columbia.
The Allens left California for France in the middle of producing this book and left Mallette Dean to bring the whole project together. He did a wonderful job.
