The festschrift for Emil Rudolf Weiss, a leading German calligrapher, typographer, type and book designer who worked in the first half of the 20th century and is particularly associated with Bauer.
Among the essays are contriubtions by Gerhart Haptmann, Oskar Loerke, Hans Rupe, Emil Strauss, J. Meier-Graese, Hans Loubier and Stnaley Morison who contributes an important essay ‘On the typographical ornaments of Granjon, Fournier and Weiss.
