An informal and occasionally frivolous account of the author/printer’s vacation in China during the summer of 1934. 2 maps, of China and the Yangtze. Dragon designs drawn by Warren Chappell. No. 159 of less than 250 copies, there were also 4 copies on Inomachi Vellum. Cut and cast by Frederick Goudy. Presswork by George W. Van Vechten Jr. Pp. 124, printed French-fold. 8vo., bound by Gerhard Gerlach in Japanese-style sewn quarter yellow cloth over blue paper boards, printed title label to upper cover. Slight fraying to binding threads, corners slightly rubbed, Boston bookshop address in pencil to ffep.

With the printed ‘Merry Christmas’ compliments slip from Mary and Melbert Cary, together with a hand written note from Harold Hugo, ‘To Clarence’, on his personalised printed note card, inserted loose.
