ROGERS, Bruce. ~ Report on the Typography of the Cambridge University Press Prepared in 1917 at the Request of the Syndics by Bruce Rogers and now Printed in Honour of his Eightieth Birthday.
One of 500 copies. Introduction by Brooke Crutchley. Pp. 33. Tall 4to., original quarter black cloth over cream paper covered boards, Rogers’s printer’s device stamped in red to covers, lettering in gilt to spine. A very good copy with a few marks to cream covers and some very faint offsetting to endpapers, with some of the original glacine wrapper.
Cambridge Christmas Book with Rogers’s advice on how “to infuse enough of that elusive quality called style into the work of a press” (Crutchley, A Printer’s Christmas Books).
