Two Volumes. Woodcut vignettes to title pages. One of 300 copies, this no. 127. Translated from the French and with an introductory essay by Jessie Peabody Frothingham. Printed at the Riverside Press under the direction of Bruce Rogers. 8vo., original blue paper covered boards, printed title labels to spines, lacking the slipcase. A largely unopened set, slightly faded at spines, boards a touch rubbed, some light occasional foxing throughout both volumes, but generally good.
Senanour’s early 19th century masterpiece of a frustrated young man who seeks happiness and fulfilment in the world. With the original prospectus and order form inserted loose.
