One of 1250 copies. 5 pages of facsimiles of the original ‘Projet de Paix Perpétuelle’, printed by Benjamin Franklin. Introduction by George Simpson Eddy. Text in French and English. Designed by Bruce Rogers. Set in Monotype Caslon type and printed by William Edwin Rudge. 12mo., a largely unopened copy in original quarter black cloth over blue paper covered boards, printed title label to spine, housed in a worn slipcase split along the top edge. Ex-library copy with blind-stamp to title page and label to slipcase spine.

A gift from the publisher George Simpson Eddy to the New Jersey Historical Society, with the society’s book label and Eddy’s printed ‘with compliments’ slip inserted loose.
