Woodcut by Florence Wyman Ivins. Thoreaus’ poetic study of landscape, first published in the ‘Atlantic Monthly’, in 1863. One of 400 copies, printed under the direction of Bruce Rogers at the press of William Edwin Rudge. Pp. 24. 16mo., mildly rubbed original black boards, printed title label to spine, in the slightly shipped and toned glassine wrapper, a touch of offsetting to endpapers.
