No. 1 of 10 special copies in a spectacular binding by David Esslemont. 3 colour wood engravings by Gaylord Schanilec including a large 84 cm folding panorama of a Welsh view ‘Looking North from Dragon Ridge’, 14 linocuts Esslemont, 7 tipped in sample pages, 7 tipped in colour photos, 2 paper samples, tipped in prospecuts puls an illustration from Emerson Wulling’s ‘White Crows’. Printed on Zerkall mouldmade paper. Folio, in a special binding by David Esslemont of white alum-tawed goatskin with paste-grain and stencilled decoration in green, red, black and blue acrylic ink, gold tooling, with beautiful paste endpapers in the original black cloth clamshell box.

A fascinating book being a edited personal discourse between two great printers and artists, one in Wales and the other in Wisconsin, over a period of 4 years. A great read and a beautiful piece of printing.
With the book is Esslemont’s poster for the Oak Knoll Fest of 2003 inscribed to the book’s original owner Guy Powell.
