Sm. folio, unbound as issued in the original printed wrappers, housed in the original chemises, with title printed in black on the spines, and slipcases. A very good set accompanied by the original 4pp. prospectus with two original woodcuts.

Maillol began work on this large project with Count Kessler of the Cranach Press in 1908 but failed to complete the woodcuts until just before he died in 1944. It was published posthumously by Gonin who frequently collaborated with Maillol. It is a spectacular book.
