Spine mildly faded, a little rubbing to edges of boards. Booklabel of C.S. Barlow with some offset from it to the front free endpaper.

Lesley Blanch was a noted author and travel writer but also an artist, she had studied at art school alongside Rex Whistler and Oliver Messel. She designed book jackets for TS Eliot at Faber and provided Whistler-like illustrations for the Golden Cockerel Dryden under a pseudonym.
