41 wood engravings, title-page and book design by Blair Hughes-Stanton, printed on japanese vellum. One of 232 copies, of a total edition of 250. 344 x 205 mms, bound at the Gregynog bindery in original red Hermitage calf blocked in black on upper cover with lettering and Gregynog cross device, top edge sprinkled in red, housed in a card slipcase. Spine and edges rather rubbed, very good internally.

A remarkable book, full of Hughes-Stanton’s outstanding and uplifting wood-engravings of remarkable drama and beauty. Possibly the most exciting production from the Press.
