One of 125 copies signed by the artist. 7 copper engravings (4 full page and 3 smaller pieces) by Stephen Gooden. Pp. 63. 8vo., original quarter morocco, green cloth sides, gilt lettering on spine, in the original printed card slipcase with copy number (122) hand written on cover. Spine sunned, slipcase a bit worn at the edges, a little browning on turn-ins, otherwise a very good copy.

The text reprints the first 1859 version of Fitzgerald’s translation of the Rubiayat which he later revised four times. Stephen Gooden produces his usual fine copper engravings which compliment the beautiful text rather well.
