One of 310 copies. Wood engraved border and frontispiece by Ricketts, who was aided in the cutting of it by Charles Shannon. 53 leaves. 20 x 26.4 cms. 4to., originally in white buckram this copy has been very elegantly and expertly bound in full vellum with leather thongs and immaculate gilt titling on the upper cover, top edge gilt, others uncut, in a black cloth solander box with black and gilt spine label. An extremely clean and handsome copy.
The editor of the volume is named at ‘Charles Sturt’ which was in fact a pseudonym adopted by Ricketts. He wrote two essays under this name for The Dial.
