Thin 4to., original half vellum binding with orange/brown buckram sides by Sangorski & Sutcliffe with a flowing design of knights by Webb blocked in gilt on upper cover, spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut. A very good copy.

A sumptuous production of the first ever complete translation of a unique eye-witness account of the First Crusade. The deeds of the Crusaders done in the name of God makes rather modern reading and leaves usastonished as to what extraordinary acts are bred by fanaticism.
