Inscribed copy from T.J. Cobden-Sanderson to his wife, Annie: “To Annie / A First Copy / 30 June 1922 / T. J. Cobden-Sanderson / Lee Abbey Lynton.” Annie Cobden-Sanderson was a founding member of the British Women's Freedom League. She was known for her advocacy of the role of working class women in the suffrage movement. Notes in what appears to be Annie’s hand during her trip to the States on verso of rear endpaper: “A C-S Pasadena May 6 1926.”
