Title page with a 4 colour plexiglass engraving by Gaylord Schanilec. No. 98 of 200 copies, signed by the author and illustrator. Designed by Gerald Lange. Set in Garamond and Trump Medieval bold types and printed on Invicta English mould-made paper. Pp. [24]. 8vo., [17 x 27 cms], bound by Robin Price in original sewn Larroque black paper wrappers and Moriki black endpapers, lower edges uncut. Mild fading to spine and along upper edge of rear cover, otherwise a good copy.
This is Schanilec’s first colour engraving, created circa 1980, but not published until this book appeared.
Very scarce.
